In her stunning black dress, Ashley Ortega reveals a different side, exuding confidence and strength, much like her transformative role as a nun turned comfort woman for Japanese invaders in the upcoming Netflix drama series “Pulang Araw.” Her dark, smoky eyes add a fierce impact to her ensemble, mirroring the intense emotions of her character. Completing her look, her iconic veil emanates elegance and sophistication, reflecting the complex journey of her character.
Ashley further showcased her versatility in a white bodycon dress, radiating a daring yet lovely vibe. When asked about the inspiration behind this year’s GMA Gala Night short film with its deep and slightly dark theme, she said: “The inspiration of this short film is about womanhood. It’s a story about showing the capabilities and vulnerability side of a woman. A real woman can stand on their own, can let go of things that are not meant for them, can protect themselves and will always rise no matter what.”
Highlighting her values as a woman makes the theme powerful and emphatic. Ashley aims to leave a bold message and use her platform to empower women. “I added a strong message on the last part saying ‘Not limited by history. Not limited by society. Not limited by fear.’ Women have been held back and limited throughout the centuries. I think it’s about time to show what we are capable of and know that women are bold, brave and powerful,” she added.
