POV: It’s almost 2023 and you still think that your favorite concealer can only be used for your undereyes. Keep on reading and Fair Beauty will give you more tips and tricks on how to maximize the use of your cheap or expensive tube of concealer.
- Conceal Eyebrows
Turn your eyebrows into your desired shape with the help of concealer. Using your flat concealer brush, clean the top, bottom and sides of the brows You have drawn, to achieve a cleaner and a more sleek look depending on the shape you want to go for.
Some PRO Artists also use this technique to erase and conceal eyebrows for SFX!
2. Spot Conceal
Using your fingers or a pointed brush, use a concealer that is slightly darker than your skin color to cover up blemishes and red spots. Your fingers are a great option for this step as the warmth of your fingers will help the product blend well. You can also dab with a beauty blender for that seamless finish.
3. Foundation
Want to use minimal foundation but also after that extra coverage? Your concealer might be your BFF! Apply on your forehead, chin, sides of the nose and under eyes, dampen your beauty blender with your favorite hydrating mist and Voila! You have yourself the coverage without the feeling of full makeup.
4. Under Eyes
The original, widely known purpose of concealer – To lighten the under eye area, hide imperfections and conceal dark spots and redness.
PRO TIP: Let your concealer BAKE / marinate for at least 30s or a minute to achieve a better consistency and coverage and blend with a damp brush or beauty blender for best results.
5. Contour
In case you were accidentally gifted with a concealer that is way too dark for your skin, do not throw it away! It can be perfect to accentuate and contour your features. Apply it to your forehead, chin area, temples, nose and cheeks and they will work wonders as contour!
6. Custom Blush
Do you have a liquid blush that is too red or too pink? Tone it down to a lovely shade of blush by mixing it with your favorite concealer, and You’ll save yourself more bucks and use the rest of it before buying a new one.
7. Natural Face Lift
Did you know that depending on where you put your concealer, it helps give the illusion of a lifted face? So if you want a face lift but do not have the $$$$ for it yet, try and achieve it with the help of a concealer. This illustration will help you determine where to apply the product and make sure to blend it well for a flawless finish.
8. Eyeshadow
You are probably skeptical about this but YES, you can also turn your concealer to an instant eyeshadow. Do you have unused or leftover eyeshadow that is too pigmented or the shade is beautiful but hard for you to apply? Get that eyeshadow, scrape it along with a sparkly one, mix it with a bit of concealer and you get yourself an instant color that is easy to swipe with even just your fingers and it even stays longer!
9. Ombre Lipstick
Love those subtle lip colors in your favorite Korean Dramas? You’ll just need your lipstick and concealer. Dab on your lips some concealer and blend well to cancel any harsh lines or pigmentation for a brighter color payout. This step will also serve as a base and primer for your lipstick. After applying lipstick and blending the color well, you can repeat the same step on the sides of the lips to tone down or correct any harsh edges.
10. Dark / Discolored Under Eye Corrector
Use your concealer and blend it in your under eyes with your pink blush to lighten dark under eyes. For that purplish , heavily discoloration under your eyes, you can blend your concealer with an orange liquid lipstick or an orange based blush and it will help to cancel out and correct discoloration in the area. After drying the layer well, apply another layer of the concealer that is in a lighter shade to brighten up the area after color correction. This will give a natural finish. Bake and set with a translucent powder to avoid creasing
