Having beautiful, shiny, and soft hair boosts one’s self-esteem. And now that the restrictions on visiting salons have been lifted, you must consider which salon is best for you. You may have already heard and read about Marqed Salon, the Philippines’ first and only salon to use a hair scanner and with a vision to provide total hair care.

Mark Anthony Rosales and Monique Morales, Marqed Salon’s founders, have recently opened their second branch in partnership with their good friend Lucky Weidmann at Weidmann’s Plaza, Putatan, Muntinlupa. The salon has a certainly calming and positive atmosphere, and the employees are very friendly. They truly understand their customers’ needs and they make them feel important. They make certain that they are pampered and work hard to ensure that their visit is perfect and relaxing. They are really attentive when it comes to all of their concerns and questions.

Marqed Salon offers a variety of products and services. Among their most sought-after services is the Time Restore Treatment which is a strengthening treatment for mature hair that has lost strength or moisture leaving it weak, dry or brittle. This brilliant Time Restore treatment combines Q10 with breakthrough Nutrifiller technology to immediately erase visible signs of aging while stimulating the hair’s natural keratin synthesis. This service includes hair & scalp scanning and analysis by a senior stylist, shampoo and blowdry by a junior stylist. To those who love to keep the color of their hair, they can try their Color Freeze Treatment. This is an intensely restoring and creamy treatment for colour treated hair. The rich and highly caring emulsion contains hydrolysed keratins to fill structural gaps from the outer layer of the hair to the cortex. This treatment comes with pH 4.5 Balancer Technology which tightens the hair structure and locks colour pigments into the deepest layers of the hair, while improving strength and elasticity of coloured hair. As a result, hair is brought to optimal pH 4.5; colour appears as vibrant as it was on day one. Included in the Color Freeze Treatment is hair & scalp scanning and analysis, shampoo and blowdry. They also have their own product line, which includes the Grape Shake shampoo and conditioner, a product with a scalp treatment that is also effective, affordable, and realistic. They develop their own product as part of their overall hair care because, according to the salon co-founder, Mark Rosales, “not all products in the market are good for the scalp and hair,” he said. “This product is designed for us Filipinos and is good for Asians,” he added.

You can expect a strong commitment of Marqed Salon to their clients. They simply do not want a one-time visit, but provide expert care with a friendly touch to show that they genuinely care about their hair. “You stick with the salon that knows your hair history so that it’s easy for you to wear beautiful hair and we just want to educate our client that, for you to wear beautiful hair, it starts with a healthy scalp because we tend to forget that scalp is part of our skin. It only happens if you visit Marqed Salon and Get Marqed,” Mark said.

One of the first things you will notice at Marqed Salon is their cozy and elegant ambiance. You will be immediately greeted by their cheerful and friendly staff. They took me on a tour of the facility and immediately made me feel at ease. I was unsure about what to do with my hair at first because I have already had colored hair and didn’t want to color it again for fear of damaging it. They offered me the option of getting a hair treatment. But first, my scalp and hair were inspected with a hair scanner by the salon’s senior hair stylist.

Marqed Salon is the first to use a hair scanner to assess a client’s hair condition in the Philippines. I’m astounded by how they describe the appearance of my scalp. I’m glad my scalp is still healthy; it’s just that some of the sides of my hair scalp are oily and dry, so the best thing to do is cleanse and treat it.

Their front desk attendant named Ms. Lala then assisted me. She is attentive, caring, and eager to assist. She shampooed and washed my hair, then Sir Mark applied the Plarmia, a foamy product that will aid in the treatment of my scalp. It has a minty and relaxing scent, and Ms. Lala massaged the products all over my head, giving me a soothing and cooling sensation. She then washed it again, applied another product, and it is now for my hair. They use products that are gentle and do not have a strong scent.

The senior hair stylist trimmed the ends of my locks after applying the treatments all over my hair. He makes certain that what he cuts is not too long because I previously stated that I do not want to cut my hair and prefer to keep it as long as it is. And to give my hair a more voluminous appearance, they blow-dried and curled my hair.

The staff is wonderful on all levels, and you will feel that you’re in good hands. Throughout the procedure, I had a great time conversing with the employees. After my appointment with them, I kept adoring my hair while I was doing errands on the other side of Metro Manila. And the best thing is that my hair was still smooth when I got home. I will definitely return here and try their other services because you get what you pay for.

The salon’s location is ideal because it is close to Weidmann Coffee Shop where you can order directly from the salon. There are also different cuisines with al fresco dining where you could eat after your appointment, have your car washed, or go to the gym right next to the salon.

What are you waiting for? Experience total hair care and Get Marqed! They are running an opening promotion until December 18th. They accept both appointments and walk-ins. You can find the location by using Waze or maps and searching for Weidmann’s Plaza or Marqed South. For more information, please contact Marqed Salon-South via their Facebook Page and Instagram Account.
